From an idea to reality
Water Taxi CI was founded in 2023 by Max Boleat in response to a growing need for better inter-island connectivity across the Channel Islands. The vision was simple: to give islanders, visitors, and businesses a fast, reliable, and hassle-free way to travel between our beautiful islands. From that vision, Water Taxi CI was born.
From day one, our team has taken pride in offering a fresh alternative to mainstream travel — including the only commercial direct route between Jersey and Alderney. We’re an enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable crew of salty sea dogs who are passionate about the Channel Islands and love sharing that passion with every passenger who steps aboard. Launching a charter business is no small feat; it takes meticulous planning, extensive admin, and dedicated crew training. That’s why we’re incredibly grateful to the team at Poseidon Marine, whose support and expertise were instrumental during our early days and helped turn our idea into reality. Nearly three years on, Water Taxi CI has continued to grow from strength to strength. In late 2024, we proudly became part of Go-Sail.je through an exciting partnership that we believe will help our small idea become an even bigger part of Channel Island life.
